About the event
Join us for a fun, dog-friendly urban walk through Allan Gardens, a beautiful stroll through Cabbagetown, and a relaxing sunset stop at Riverdale Park with stunning views of the Toronto skyline.
We’ll meet at College Station (North Side exit) at 7:30 PM. Our hike leader will be waiting in front of the Bulk Barn.
We’ll start by walking through Allan Gardens, then make our way to explore the historic Cabbagetown neighborhood, known for its beautiful Victorian homes. From there, we’ll walk through Riverdale Park West and cross the Don Valley Parkway to reach Riverdale Park East.
At Riverdale Park East, we’ll take a short break to enjoy the sunset and take in the amazing Toronto skyline views. You’re welcome to stay and hang out there for longer, or join us as we continue walking to Broadview Station, where the hike will end around 9:30 PM.

Start Point: College Subway Station via North Side exit (between Carlton st & Yonge st) [Google Maps Link] - We will set off at 7:30pm. Plan to arrive at the start point at 7:15pm, as we aren't able to wait for latecomers.
End Point: Broadview Subway Station (between Danforth ave & Broadview ave) [Google Maps Link]
Length: 6 km
Pace of hike: 3.5km per hour - Relaxed
Difficulty: Beginner
Terrain Type: Mainly flat, and consists of walking down several stairs. Path is fully paved with 2 short areas featuring steep inclines (45m. elevation).
Dog-friendly: (MUST remain on leash) Yes
Family-friendly: (suitable for young people 17 and under) No
Stroller-friendly: (paved trails accessible for strollers) No
Requiring hiking boots: Not Required

Registration fee: $5 + service fee though if you cannot afford it, please contact us at letshiketo@gmail.com to request a discounted ticket based on your circumstance.
Limited tickets: This hike is restricted to 15 registrants. Tickets will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, are non-refundable and can’t be transferred to future events.
Pre-hike email: Registrants will receive additional details by email the day before the hike, such as what to bring on the day, what to wear, etc.
Weather precautions: The hike will take place regardless of rain, wind, or snow so please dress accordingly! We will only cancel or postpone the hike if weather conditions are considered extreme or dangerous, in which case registered hikers will be informed 48 hours in advance.
