Furry Friends Hike in High Park

Embrace the beauty of autumn with a crisp morning hike through High Park’s vibrant trails! Bring your four-legged companion as we stroll a beautiful 4 km loop around the dog park. Expect golden leaves underfoot, cozy sweater weather, and plenty of wagging tails. Whether you’re looking to meet fellow dog lovers, stretch your legs, or simply soak up the season’s beauty, this relaxed hike offers the perfect blend of nature, community, and adventure. No pup? No problem - everyone’s welcome to join in the fall fun!

Please note: Dogs will be present and will be off-leash in some areas.

Let's Hike T.O. is a hiking community open to everyone with a focus on newcomers, people of colour, and young adults.  All are welcome on our walks!

Start Point: High Park North Gates (High Park Ave & Bloor St W) [Google Maps Link] - We will set off at 10:00 am. Plan to arrive at the start point at 9:45 am sharp as we aren't able to wait for latecomers. 

End Point: High Park TTC Station [Google Maps Link]

Length:  4 km

Pace of hike: 3 km per hour - Relaxed

Difficulty: Beginner

Terrain Type: Relatively flat trails, a mix of paved and unpaved

Dog-friendly: (Dogs MUST remain on leash at all times) Yes

Family-friendly: (suitable for young people 17 and under) No

Stroller-friendly: (paved trails accessible for strollers) No

Requiring hiking boots: Not Required.

Requiring walking poles: Not Required.

Registration fee: $5 + service fee though if you cannot afford it, please contact us at letshiketo@gmail.com to request a discounted ticket based on your circumstance.

Limited tickets: This hike is restricted to 15 registrants. Tickets will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, are non-refundable and can’t be transferred to future events.

Pre-hike email: Registrants will receive additional details by email the day before the hike, such as what to bring on the day, what to wear, etc.

Weather precautions: The hike will take place regardless of rain, wind, or snow so please dress accordingly! We will only cancel or postpone the hike if weather conditions are considered extreme or dangerous, in which case registered hikers will be informed 48 hours in advance.
