Time & Location

Nov 10, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Rouge National Park , 25 Zoo Rd, Scarborough

About the event

We will hike the Vista and Orchard trails of Rouge National Urban Park. Together these trails make a fairly easy hike with some nice views and ridge walks. A few steep inclines and uneven terrain from tree roots technically make this a moderate hike but the hike is appropriate for beginners!

Did you know? Non-Indigenous settlers arrived in the Rouge area in 1799 and the land has been farmed ever since. Some very old barns are still standing strong!

After the hike join us for gelato at Nani's Gelato (Charles and Yonge)!

Getting to the trailhead: From Kennedy Station, connect to Bus 86A Scarborough towards the Toronto Zoo. Get off at the intersection of Meadowvale Road and Zoo Road Walk. 100 metres to the right down Zoo Rd and you will arrive at the Zoo Road Day Use Area and Rouge Valley Conservation Centre. We'll start our hike at the North trailhead at 10 am sharp!

Let's Hike T.O. is a hiking community open to everyone with a focus on newcomers, people of colour, and young adults.  All are welcome on our walks!
