Bus Departure: 9:00AM, Plan to arrive at the pick up point at 8.45 AM sharp as we aren't able to wait for latecomers. 34 Asquith Avenue (2 min walk from Bloor-Yonge TTC Station)
Hike Start: 11:00 AM, Beamer Memorial Conservation Area, Grimsby, ON [LINK]
Hike End: 4:00PM, 4174 Mountainview Road, Beamsville, ON [LINK]
Bus Return: 6:00PM, We will be dropped off at the same place we started (34 Asquith Ave) around 6pm pending traffic.

Length: 12 km
Pace of hike: 3.5 km per hour - Moderate
Difficulty: Advanced - Must be comfortable walking for up to 4 hours, varied, hilly terrain. *Please note, this hike does not have drop out points*
Family-friendly: (suitable for young people 17 and under) No
Stroller-friendly: No
Dogs permitted: No
Open to people who want to drive to the start point to meet the group: No
Requiring hiking boots: Absolutely essential - you MUST have hiking boots to take part in this hike otherwise we will not be able to let you participate for your own safety.

What To Expect:
Hike leader: Meng (she/her), Christie (she/her), Olavo (he/him)
What's included: Chartered bus to and from Yonge and Bloor and a hike led by trained hike leaders
What you should plan to bring with you: Packed lunch, snacks, bug spray, a towel or headband, 2+ litres of water, long pants, hat, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, rain gear if expected.
Registration fee: $45+ service fee, though if you cannot afford it, please contact us at letshiketo@gmail.com to request a discounted ticket based on your circumstance. We have two discounted tickets available on this bus hike.
Limited tickets: This bus hike is restricted to 40 registrants.
Tickets will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, are non-refundable and can’t be transferred to future events.
Pre-hike email: Registrants will receive additional details by email the day before the hike, such as what to bring on the day, what to wear, etc.
Weather precautions: The hike will take place regardless of rain, wind, or snow so please dress accordingly! We will only cancel or postpone the hike if weather conditions are considered extreme or dangerous, in which case registered hikers will be informed 48 hours in advance.
